So many babies!

We finally decided to attempt blessing pictures today. Miles did great. He lasted about as long as I expected and we got a bunch of really cute shots. Jaxon on the other hand was not a happy camper. He wasn't going to have any of it right from the start and he held strong to that attitude the whole way through. So we didn't get any good shots of Jaxon and not even one of them together. :( It's tough being a twin I guess. We ask them to have the same attitude at the same time, but the fact is they are individual little people. The good thing about it is that usually if one if having a rough day the other is pretty happy. Makes it easier on me.
We'll try again with Jaxon...I need at least one for his baby book!

1. One of the two shots of Jaxon...this is the better of the two. (ha!)

Baby Animal Days

Still trying to catch up from our trip to Utah. We were so excited that we got to be home for baby animal days! Nothing more fun and more like spring then holding a tiny baby farm animal. Love it!

word to the wise...

Word to the wise....No matter how bad your knees hurt DO NOT take your left over c-section percocet. It doesn't help the pain and it turns you into a ZOMBIE!

A Tender Mercy

Yesterday was probably the hardest day I've had for a while. The babies refused to nap which equaled A LOT of crying all day long. I did not have the will power for it because the night before they both woke up every hour just wanted to be hushed back to sleep. I was exhausted! Thank goodness for my dear friend who came to my rescue and helped me gain composure, settle the kids and let out a few tears on her shoulder.
By that night I was ready to throw in the towel. Wondering why I was being asked to raise two at a time and why they had to be such difficult babies. It was hard to control my thoughts as they were spiraling downward. But then when both kids were finally sleeping at the same time I sat down to read my scriptures. This is what I read...
Mosiah 24:14 "And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me herafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I , the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions."

It was such an answer to my prayers. A lightening of my burdens. I remembered, because of the atonement Jesus can ease my burdens. Even when that burden is a screaming baby. I felt such peace knowing that when I've reached my limit He can give me the strength to finish out the day.

That was not the only tender mercy He sent...Today was FANTASTIC! Both babies slept wonderful! When they were awake they were well rested and happy. I was able to make dinner and even go for a walk. To make the day even better Elliot ate healthy food all day!! For snacks he ate pears and baby carrots!! He even sat at the dinner and ate the BBQ chicken I made with out even the tiniest fight. It was amazing!! I hope this is a turning point for him and he can start exploring food beyond chicken nuggets and spaghetti O's.

Such a GREAT day!

Teddy Bear Parade at Preschool

 Mrs. Bland
 Mrs. Seacat
Showing me how he marched in the parade

I asked him to show me how much he liked preschool

He's getting so big!

Thanks to Debbie for watching the twins - I had so much fun watching Elliot in his little end of the year parade and picnic at his school today. He did great marching around the room and couldn't help himself when he heard music playing to add some dance moves in there as well.
After the parade we went back to his classroom and they sang a few songs for us. Elliot had a hard time staying on his square. He had to dance and perform each song. Standing and singing was just not good enough. Thank heavens I had my video camera cause it was so funny.

Just before the kids gave us a mothers day present his teacher asked each child to finish the sentance "My mother is..." Elliots reply was, "Eats food!"  Nice! Yes, I do eat food and usually too much of it. If that's not a good wake up call to start a diet I don't know what is :)

Thanks Elliot for making my day so bright! I LOVE YOU!

Blessing Day

 "Love you Bro."

Josh and Jaxon, Jacob and Miles, Jared and Elliot

Our awesome support group: The Rushtons and the Hands
We love you guys!!!

Such a neat day. Even though our families couldn't be with us we had our dear friends to celebrate with us instead. We feel so lucky and blessed to have these two sweet boys in our lives. It's hard to imagine what our family was like before they got here. (Elliot would probably say it was much quieter)

We love you Jaxon & Miles! Thank you for blessing our lives!

We are still going to take better pics of them in their blessing outfits, but till that happens this will have to satisfy the grandma's that are looking for pics.

Photoshoot with the Kings

We tried to take some pics of Tess, but she was not having it so I snapped a few shots with Brooklyn and McKenna. Beautiful girls! I love them like crazy!!

(I really need a laptop I can carry my lightroom editing software on...iphoto editing just doesn't cut it)

Brooklyn

McKenna

Typical Brooklyn face...trying hard to hold back a smile.

The "Hero" and his Princess.
These two love dressing up together. Elliot pretends to be the Hero and takes care of his princess McKenna. They walk around the house holding hands. Elliot puts his arm around her and slides her shoes on her feet...TOO CUTE!

The only photo I got where Tess is not screaming. Poor girl. We'll try again.
